Privacy & Use Policy
isitaki · Offline Card Storage
isitaki is a private, offline app for keeping your own wallet cards on your device. This policy explains what it stores, how your information is protected, and the terms for using it.
Effective 8 September 2026
Your Data Stays On Your Device
Everything you add — cards, photos, notes, dates and any saved PINs or security codes — is stored only on this device. isitaki does not need the internet to work: nothing is uploaded to a cloud, there are no user accounts, there is no syncing to other devices, and there is no analytics, tracking or advertising. We never see, collect, transmit or share your information.
Photos
Card photos are saved inside isitaki's own private storage area on your device — kept private to the app and protected by your device's built-in security. They are not added to your device's photo gallery and are not shared with anyone.
PINs & Security Codes
If you choose to store a card's PIN or security code (CVV), it is kept in your device's secure, encrypted storage (its system keystore) — hardware-protected where available and separate from the rest of the card. It stays hidden and is revealed only after you confirm with Face ID, Touch ID, Fingerprint or your Passcode.
Unlocking The App
You can require Face ID, Touch ID, Fingerprint or your device Passcode each time isitaki opens. This check is performed by your device's operating system — isitaki never receives or stores your biometric data and is only told whether the unlock succeeded. We recommend keeping this turned on.
Backups & Data Loss
Because your information lives only on this device, you are the only one who holds it — and the only one who can back it up. If you delete isitaki, reset the app, or lose or replace the device, your cards and photos cannot be recovered by us. Please keep your own copies of anything important.
isitaki can also create an encrypted backup file, protected by a passphrase you choose. Where you keep that file is up to you. If you save it to a folder that syncs to a cloud service, or share it to one, a copy will be stored there by that service — outside isitaki — so pick a location you trust and keep your passphrase safe. Your PINs and security codes (CVVs) are never included in a backup; they stay only on this device.
Using isitaki
isitaki is intended for your own personal use, to keep copies of cards you are entitled to hold. It is a personal reference tool only — it is not a payment app and cannot be used to tap, pay or transact. isitaki is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any bank, card issuer, government body or other organisation whose cards you may store.
Age
isitaki is intended for adults keeping their own personal cards, and is not directed at children under 13. Because everything stays on your device and nothing is ever collected, isitaki holds no personal information about any user, whatever their age.
No Warranty
isitaki is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from using the app, including loss of stored data. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and for backing up your own information.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of Portugal. If you use isitaki as a consumer, this does not remove any mandatory legal protections you have under the law of your own country of residence.
Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy as the app develops. The effective date above shows when it last changed. Continued use of isitaki after an update means you accept the revised policy.
